"Consumption of alcohol can lead to panic attacks and depression"

Alcohol can be a confusing drug for any doomed brain. While on one side, alcohol can be quite damaging to your body, the infrequent alcoholic drink appears to be safe. In fact, it can help you manage your mental health. 

Also, if you don't drink too wildly and carry on all the lifestyle precautions, it is difficult to call alcohol ‘bad’.

Also, in cases of panic attacks, alcohol is more than harmful. 

Panic attacks can be worsened by alcohol. But, often, it affects only those, who already suffer from anxiety.  

Causes of Panic Attacks from Alcohol:
Alcohol doesn't lead to any panic attacks, but alcohol can actually trigger the panic attack. There are numerous reasons for this, but those who go under panic attacks face an issue called as hypersensitivity. 

Hypersensitivity is a condition when a person is very sensitive towards changes in their body. Each day leads to heart rhythm changes, minor attacks and so on. Most people do not notice these things, but people with hypersensitivity notice them. It is during these notices when they face panic attacks. 

Some of the causes, in which, alcohol leads to panic attacks are:
•    Dehydration: Amidst all forms of anxiety, dehydration remains an intact problem. On top of that, excessive alcohol consumption augments this feature. Alcohol is a known diuretic, which causes extra urination. This leads to secretion of water from the body. Hence, this is a common fact for each bottom up. 

•    Flu-like Symptoms: When a person is hung-over, alcohol leads to flu-like body indications.  This also includes pains over the whole body. Besides, hangovers don't lead to panic attacks as often as you'd think. 

•    Poor Body Functioning: Alcohol causes important parts of the body to function poorly. This means, when the body goes under physical stress, it also carries the burden of mental stress.  This mental stress gradually transforms into anxiety attacks.

•    Stressful Mistakes: When you drink, you end up making childish mistakes. If leads an anxiety-free life and do not suffer from panic attacks, these mistakes will be little stressful but will not impact their lives. However, people who experience panic attacks, these activities add to the stress someone already suffers from. As a result, the person may suffer from anxiety and panic attacks later on.

•    Dizziness and Rapid Heartbeat: Even while drinking, alcohol can cause tingling sensations of dizziness, heart palpitations, and other such symptoms. This leads to panic attacks, especially in those with health anxiety.

However, alcohol doesn't lead to any panic attack straightaway; it does affect parts of the mind and body that ultimately may cause the development of panic attacks. Also, it does so with more frequency than any other types of healthier beverages. 

It would be a fluke to say that stopping drinking is an altogether solution for everything and panic attacks. Certainly, the panic attacks won't vanish away if you cut out alcohol consumption. Also, drinking alcohol doesn't directly cause any alcohol panic attacks. 

However, alcohol does add on to the intensity of those panic attacks. Alcohol is a drug which has the potential to add to your panic attacks.
